i posted this earlier and i can't figure it out. Write an equation in slope intercept form of the line perpendicular to y=3/4x-2 and passes through(-12,7)

1 answer

The slope of the line must be -4/3, in order to be perpendicular to a line with slope 3/4. For the line to pass through (-12,7), the equation must be
(y - 7) = (-4/3)(x + 12)
= -(4/3)x -16
y = -(4/3)x -9
