DrBob222 what if we add HCl to the solution hoping to increase the solubility of MX.Will that work?
I think no because X- being an anion of a strong acid,it will only increase the Cl- concentration(generally concentration of anions) which will decrease the silubiy of M+ and also that of MX.Am I correct?

MX+KOH--->MOH+KX
MOH<==> M+ OH- )
