1. What search engine did you choose? What was the reason that you decided to choose this search engine? I chose Google as my search engine because it is very popular and usually gives me a lot of information quickly. Plus, I find it easy to use!

2. What did you type into the search engine? What made you decide to type this in? Was your search successful the first time, or did you have to change what you typed into the search engine? I typed in “Billie Eilish biography” because I wanted to learn more about her life and background. My search was successful the first time, and I found plenty of interesting articles!

1. What are the three websites that you selected?

   • Billie Eilish’s official website (billieeilish.com)
   • Rolling Stone magazine article (rollingstone.com)
   • Biography.com (biography.com)

2. How did you select the websites? Was it the title that drew you in? Did you look and see what date the website was published or updated on? What page of the search results were your sites found on? I selected these websites because they had titles that suggested they had good information about her life. I also checked the dates to make sure they were recent, and they were all on the first page of the search results!

   • On Billie Eilish’s official website, there was no specific author because it’s her personal site.
   • On the Rolling Stone article, I found the author’s name at the top of the article.
   • The Biography.com page also listed an author. If I couldn’t find an author, I would look for an “About” page or check for contact information. If there was no way to find out, I would think the information might not be very trustworthy.

2. What was the date that these sites were updated or published? What does the date say about the information?

   • Billie Eilish’s official site is always updated, so it had the latest news.
   • The Rolling Stone article was from this year.
   • The Biography.com page was updated last year. The dates show that the information is current and relevant!

3. Are there links available on the sites? Do those links work? Yes, all three sites had links to other pages. I checked them, and they all worked correctly!

4. What domain do the websites have? What does the domain tell you about the website?

   • Billie Eilish’s site ends with .com, which is common for personal or business websites.
   • Rolling Stone has a .com domain, too, and it is a well-known magazine.
   • Biography.com also has a .com, which is a trusted source for biographies. This tells me they are all legit websites.

5. Is the information you find on all three sites similar? Are there any differences? If one of the sites has different information than the other sites, what might that tell you? Yes, the information was mostly similar! They all talked about her early life, career, and achievements. If one site had different information, it might mean they had a different focus or source, so I’d want to double-check to be certain.

6. What other items did you check on to see if these sites are reliable? Do the sites end up checking out as reliable? Would you use the information from these sites on a research project about your topic? I looked for information about the website’s reputation and checked if they had references or links to sources. All three sites turned out to be reliable! I would definitely use the information from these sites for a research project about Billie Eilish because they seem trustworthy and informative.
