I never got the fractions,
Determine the maximum and minimum values of the following set of numbers.
2,-8,1/2,-5/3,9/4,-7,-73/9

I think the answer is -73/9 and 1/2 am I right if not can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong??

change them all to have a common denominator, in your case that would be 36

now compare the numerators to determine relative size

(the largest negative numerator will be the minimum)

If you just want "results" without justification, just punch your expressions in a calculator and look the decimals.

the smallest is -73/9 and the largest is 9/4
