My summary:

In the article “Why We Still Need Feminism.” Author Casey Cavanagh starts by denouncing the different stereotypes that feminists deal with regularly then continues to speak about because of these stereotypes many people are deciding not to join the feminist movement. In this article, Cavanagh stands on the belief that the media is the reason for people having these false presumptions of feminists and, that they greatly dislike men and only care about their own rights. The author explains that feminists believe each person should be viewed based on their strengths and capabilities as a person not based on gender. Cavanagh expresses her thoughts on how agreeing with the idea of all human beings should have rights is all you need to do to be considered a feminist. Facts are given by Cavanagh about how men and women have suffered oppression by gender norms seen throughout the world. Cavanagh ends by voicing her belief why we still need feminism and how many people think it is a thing of the past.
