I need to simplify (6x^2y^3)(9x^2y^3)/3x^2y^2. I don't know whether I'm supposed to multiply or divide or both?

1 answer

I would divide first. notice the 6x^2 y^3 in the numerator, and the denominatora 3x^3y^2. Reduce those: Now

(2y)(9x^2y^3) is left which is easy to finish.
