How can you figure out the size of a of a part without having to draw a diagram? consider example of 2/3 × 4/5.

A) describe how you could draw a diagram to me this calculation.
I would do 5 vertical lines
And 3 diagnosis lines. Then shade in 4 of the 5 vertical lines and 2 on the diagonallines. For my answer to be 8/15.

B) if you completed the diagram, how many parts would there be in all? How do you know?

There will be 15 because of the denominator result.

C) how many of the parts will be counted for the numerator of your result? Again describe how you know.
There will be 8 because of shading.

D) how can you know what the numerator and denominator of a preduct will be without having to draw or envasion a diagram each time? please explain
