I need these checked, thanks!
1. a) 8.95cm to meters= 0.0985m
b) 1298.4g to kilograms = 1.3kg
c) 129cm to millimeters = 1290mm
d) 2452 mL to liters = 2.452L
2) A cyclist rides at an average speeed of 24mi/h. If she wants to bike 15km, how long (in hours) must she ride?
5hrs is what I got.
3) A classroom has a volume of 285 m^3. What is the volume in the following units?
a) km^3 = .285
b) dm^3 = 28.5
c) cm^3 = 28500
1a has a typo. Why did you round b?
2 is way off. 15km is about ten miles, it will take less than thirty min to get there.
3. These are wrong. Here is the reason...
when writing something such as cm^3, that does not mean a centi of a cubic meter, it means a cubic centimeter. Think of it as (cm)^3
So 285m^3 = 10^6 cm^3/m^3 *285m^3= 285000 cm^3
notice on the cm, instead of the 100, it is 100^3m ir 10^6. Yes, there are a million cubic centimeters in a meter cubed.
