Well, it is located in the south WEST Pacific
and NORTH of the southern ocean
but indeed in the
SOUTHEAST Indian Ocean.
The question is a bit silly because all 3 oceans touch Australia but it is Southeast only of the Indian Ocean

Many geographers don't recognize the Southern Ocean as a separate ocean. Since your description is the southeast part of an ocean, which of the three oceans must it be?
