I need ideas on writing a brief monologue on george a man who jilted a woman sixty years ago. the woman is now eighty and now on her death bed. he comes to see her after sixty years.

Please use your imagination. What would George say after 60 years? Would he apologize? Would he say he loved her but other people got in the way? Would he express regrets that they hadn't had a lifetime together? Would he say that they were both happier by being apart?

thank you
