I need help with this problem I can not figure this out I had came up with five different answers and I really would like to get the correct answer.
Memorial Hospital currently has 1,850 linear filing inches used. It is projected that over the next 5 to
8 years an additional 1500 linear inches will be needed because of expected growth. The shelving
units they now use, and which they will continue to use is 7 shelves high (but they will only use 6 of those) and each shelf holds 40 inches of storage. How many additional units will they need?

How many shelves:
1500/40=you do it.
How many 7 file cabinets?
divide that above by 7, and round up to the next highest.
I wonder if converting to computer files would save money in the long run, in space, rent, and ease of filing and retrieval?
