i need help understanding physics. im failing my class and don't want to do anything because i have zero clue where to start. im stuck on this problem currently.

a cat pushes a ball from a 7.00 m high window, giving it a horizontal velocity of .20 m/s. how far from the base of the building does the ball land? (assume no air resistance and that ay=g=9.81 m/s2

can anybody help me by going through this step by step.i have more questions like this and i have no clue what to do

determine the time in air during falling:
hf=hi+1/2 gt^2 (there is no vertical velocity initially)
0=7-4.9t^2 solve for time in air t

determine flying distance
distancehorizontal=.20m/s * timeinair
bob, im still confused...all the variables arent making alot of sense. thanks fortrying to help though
