Find the base of a rectangle where area=40 and height=5

3 answers

A = bh

40 = 5b

8 = b
Thanks Ms. Sue. Just a quick question, why didn't I have to use the 1/2 base?
For a rectangle, we need to use the whole base. It's only for triangles that we use 1/2 of the base times the height.
