I need help identifying the adverbs and adjectives. I am not sure which are which. Can someone please help me figure this out?

In my early years, I was not really thinking about the importance of credit. My credit was severely damaged as a result. Over the years, I have been trying to repair the damage by watching my credit history and making appropriate payments. My credit score is slowly improving and I am now able to apply for credit again. I finally own two credit cards now. The credit cards come in handy when I need to make online purchases, and I use them to verify my identity. The interest rates are not very high, which makes it easier to purchase items that I need. When I use my credit card to make purchases, I make sure I make my monthly payments on time, which improves my credit score.
Having credit cards really help when you are low on cash, as long as you use them appropriately and make your payments on time.

Adjectives modify or describe nouns and pronouns. They tell which, what kind of, or how many.

In your first three sentences, these are the adjectives:

EARLY modifies years
CREDIT modifies history
APPROPRIATE modifies payments
**************************************

Adverbs modify verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs. The tell when, where, how, and to what extent.

Adverbs in your first three sentences are:
NOT modifies really
REALLY modifies was thinking
SEVERELY modifies damaged

I'll be glad to check your answers for the rest of the paragraph.
