I need help. Here's the queston.

Julia has 3 red marbles, 4 blues,3 yellow and 6 black in a bag. She takes one out at random.
The probability its black ___
The probability its yellow ___
The probability it isnt red ___

2 answers

Okay so there are 16 colors in all.
so the variable that it's black is 0/16 because there are no black.
the variable its yellow is 3/16.
the variable it isnt red is 13/16
Shortee missed the fact that there are 6 black marbles in the bag, so the probability of black is 6/16 or 3/8. However, the rest of his information is correct.

All he is doing is taking the number of drawings that fit the description and dividing by the total number of possibilities.

I hope this helps a little more. Thanks for asking.
