I messed up on my other social studies question. i ment to ask if the BUILDER of the taj mahal had his hands cut off by emperor shah jahan. Is this true? i need proof if this is true. thanks alot

I Googled Shah Jahan hands and only found the legend that he'd had the architect's hands cut off. But since there's no proof, I consider it only a legend, and probably not true.
