I have two questions
1)In A Tail of Two Cities, Monsieur Defarge keeps M.Manetter locked in his room because?
A)M.Manetter is sick
B)freedom may scare her
C)Monsieur is a mean and cruel man
D)M.Manette cannot be trusted
2)In A Tail of Two Cities the fact that the people croweded the area where the wine spilled and drank the wine suggests..
A)these people are uncivilized
B)these people have been living in poverty and depravity
C)the wine was expensive and valuable
D)None
These questions are over the first section of the book, which I read, but I can't figure out the answers. I know the exact part where they are talking about the wine barrel spilling but I don't know what it means.
oh I am thinking B for #2
Fred Mullens was rude, but if you learned the difference between "tail" and "tale" that's a good thing.
=)
I agree with your #2, Here is a site that may help you with #1

boy aren't you a jerk...tail tale..it doesn't reall matter for this question, your pointing that out has been very helpful to my finding the answer
I am well aware of the difference. I am just so used to typing tail, I didn't even think about it
There's never a need to be rude -- online or offline. Academic advice is good, but please be civil!
Thanks.
You're right about # 2. It is B. What do you think the first answer is. Please note that it's Dr. Manette who was kept hidden.
