I have to write a 3 paragraph wisdom anecdote; a short story that teaches a lesson. I needed some help coming up with ideas for my anecdote. I have read examples of anecdotes, but I can't make up any story that teaches a lesson.

Any help?? Story or moral ideas?
Thanks!!!!!

Don't judge a book by its cover. A new student enrolls in the class. He's not very good looking and appears dumb. Then he performs at a school talent show. Everyone finds that he has a beautiful voice and enchants everyone.

All that glitters is not gold. Same situation -- a new girl enrolls in the class. She's beautiful and has expensive, fashionable clothes. But through several events the other students find that she's mean and cruel.
That helps soo much thank you!
You're welcome.
Btw -- the first story is basically true. It happened many years ago when I was teaching. The boy was a sophomore and everyone ignored him. He sat in the back of the class and was an indifferent student. He got a lot of great attention after the talent show -- but it was too late. He dropped out of school at the end of the year.
Omg... that is so sad but sadly very common in high school
Yep. I've felt bad about that for 50 years.
Ms. Sue I just wanted to say thank you so much for answering our questions
