I have to simplify this please help how to solve the problem involving rational algebraic expressions

3 over a+2a over 3a=11 over 15

1 answer

If your expression mean :

3 / a + 2 a / 3 a = 11 / 15

Then :

3 / a + 2 a / 3 a = 11 / 15

you can write like :

3 / a + 2 / 3 = 11 / 15

3 / a + 10 / 15 = 11 / 15

_____________________________

( Becouse 2 / 3 = 10 / 15 )

_____________________________

Subtract 10 / 15 to both sides

3 / a + 10 / 15 - 10 / 15 = 11 / 15 - 10 / 15

3 / a = 1 / 15 Multiply both sides by a

3 a / a = 1 * a / 15

3 = a / 15 Multiply both sides by 15

3 * 15 = 15 a / 15

45 = a

a = 45
