In the past we have done numerous skits and other groups have created facebook pages and conducted a puppet show. Anyone have other unique ideas?

It seems to me that you're limited to a skit, according to your directions. Could you do a cartoon?

You might think about making a quilt -- but by drawing on posterboard or even on a large sheet.

I'm currently reading the books in the series written by Jennifer Chiaverini -- http://www.elmcreek.net/ -- and one of the things dealt with is how people in different "stations" on the Underground Railroad signaled that it was safe for escaping slaves to knock on their door. One way was with specific designs on quilts.
