I have to answer this question for homework:

Are there better teachings than those of the Buddha?

I was wondering if I could be prompted in the right direction for people who agree with this statement and why and vice versa.

Obviously, religion is a highly personal issue. Besides, the word "better" implies a value judgement.

As far as I'm concerned, most belief systems have tenets that I support. But I wouldn't call any of them "better" than any other.
