c = X cm.
a = x+20 cm.
b = x+20 + 50 cm.
a + b + c = 270.
x+20 + x+20+50 + x = 270. X = ?.
b = x+20+50.
I have this question, don't know where to start!
The total length of ropes a,b and c is 270cm. Rope a is 20cm longer than rope c, but 50cm shorter than rope b. What is the length of rope b?
Have tried dividing 270 by 3 giving 90, then just moving figures around, but is there any formula to work out?
Thanks
