I have an assignment about the American Revolutionary War.  I have to Select three major periods of the Revolutionary War to use as points of comparison showing how the war was experienced in the northern theater with how it was experienced in the southern theater during these periods.

Looking through the text the best I can come up with for periods was The southern campaign 1778–1781, the battle of the middle states 1776-1777, and still looking for a third.

I am not sure that what I came up with is correct.  Can you please advise me if I am on the right path.  I have checked on the internet and through google but nothing is saying major periods of Am. Rev. War so I am trying to wade through it all.

Well, Lexington and Concord and Boston (Bunker Hill) and Ticonderoga are not in the middle states or in the south but in the north.
