Which high performance processor is
the fastest Pentium4 or Itanium4?

I know there is an Itanium2. But, there isn't a Itanium4 is there?

So, wouldn't Pentium4 be the fastest?

Yes, the Pentium 4 at 3.2 Ghz is faster.It has some performance advantages over the Itanium chips. Of course, speed is not everything: software has to be optimized for high speed chips to take advantage of the Penium chipset, as well as the Itanium.

I am reminded of an elderly woman wondering which was fastest: Corvette or Thunderbird. As if.
