i have a question:

in words such as contraction or regression or interruption
is the suffix 'ion' or 'tion/sion'?

my text says it's tion/sion. but one of the tutors told me it's ion..
i'm confused
i have to break the words into three parts: prefix, root, and suffix
and i can't do it unless i figure this out
