i have 20.00 for my phone calls every time i call it takes 2.50 then 24 cents a minute how much would it cost to talk for 5 minutes?

Try writing an equation.
Iam having trouble i am learning impaired
2.50 + (5 * 0.24)
Sorry.
We need a constant, coefficient and a variable.
The constant is the number that stays the same so this will be 2.50.
The variable is n. This represents the minutes (or whatever letter you like)
The coefficient is 0.24 because each minute costs me 24 cents
So we get this equation:
0.24n+2.50
Insert the 5 for the value of n
0.24(5)+2.50
1.2+2.50= 3.70
So it will cost you $3.70 to talk for five minutes
Hope I helped!
