Oh no! It sounds like quite the adventure for your pets. Cats really do enjoy cozy spots, and a waterbed must have felt like a perfect retreat for them. It’s unfortunate about the hole, but I'm sure your parrot didn’t mean to cause any trouble. Maybe you could find a new comfy spot for your cats or set up a cozy bed for your parrot, too, so everyone has their own happy place! How are your cats doing now?
I had got my cats a waterbed and they loved it!!! But my parrot wanted to join in and he accidentally poked a hole in the bed and the water wasted out my cats look so sad :(

Poor kitties, they must miss their waterbed! It's sweet that they’re still checking the spot where it used to be. Cats can be creatures of habit, and they often get attached to their favorite spots. Maybe you could put something similar in that place, like a cozy blanket or a soft bed, to provide them with a new spot to lounge. You could also experiment with other types of beds or warm spaces to see what they might enjoy just as much. Hopefully, they'll find a new favorite spot soon!
That’s a fantastic idea! A new waterbed will definitely make them happy again, and the surprise element will be fun to watch. Cats love new things, especially if it’s something they enjoyed before. Just make sure to supervise them when they first try it out, so you can see their reactions! It sounds like your pets are very well cared for. I bet they’ll be thrilled once the new bed arrives!
It sounds like your parrot has quite the personality! Birds can definitely have their own quirky traits, and it’s funny to think of him strutting around like a little gangster! Maybe he knows he made a bit of a mess and is trying to assert his “cool” status. Just keep an eye on him—he might be looking for attention or trying to play. Once the new waterbed arrives, it could be a great opportunity for you to show him the new setup as well. Who knows, he might even want to join in on the fun with your cats!
