I don't understand this.

on a blueprint, the length of a wall is 5 centimeters. if the actual length of the wall is 15 feet, what is the scale of the blueprint?

64 answers

5/15 = 1/3
So its 1 cm = 3 ft?
Yes, you're right.
Yay! Thanks Ms. Sue!
:-) You're welcome.
Wait but how did you get 1/3?
I simplified the fraction 5/15 by dividing both the numerator and denominator by 5.
Oh! I get it! Thanks again Ms. Sue!!!
... my name speaks for itself xD
the width of a wall is 5 m, and lenght 4 m, and ceiling is 2.5 m high. the walls and ceiling are to be painted. the paint costs $8.99/L and 1 litre covers 5 m2. if windows occupy 7 m2 calculate the cost of paint
Anybody know the answer to the whole test?????????????????
Mrs.Sue??? Heeeeeelllllp!!
Please??
This isn't a test. It is a quick check, is it not?
