I don't know how to answer this question. If you could provide me an explanation or an answer that would be much appreciated by me. Thank you tutors.

Hope I provided enough information for the question. The following data/information was organized in a circle graph.
Types of Haunted Attractions. There are about 4,500 haunted attractions in the U.S. Here they are broken down by type: 66% Run by charity groups. 7% Within an amusement park. 27% Independent businesses.
Question: By about what factor does the number of haunted houses hosted by charity groups exceed the number within amusement parks?

4 answers

number run by charity = .66(4500) = 2970
number run by amusement = 315
leaving 1215 by independent bus.
(check: .27(4500) = 1215 )

2970 = k(315)
k = 2970/315 = appr 9.4

we could have just taken:
66/7 which is the same result
(notice 2970/315 reduces to 66/7 )
Thank you tutor Reiny! Much appreciated! Your answer taught me a new and faster way to find the part of a whole. Did you need to find the independent businesses's part of a whole? Oh and, I still don't understand why you have to divide charity group by amusement park in order to find the factor that exceeds the number of charity groups and within amusement parks. I still don't understand what the question was asking for, so if you could provide an explanation that would be great!
It asked " By about what factor does the number of haunted houses hosted by charity groups exceed the number within amusement parks".

I read that as, "by what number would you have to multiply the amusement park number by to obtain the charity number ? "
so 315 ( ? ) = 2970
I called that (?) k
so 315 k = 2970

315k/315 = 2970/315
k = 2970/314 = appr 9.4
THANK YOU SO MUCH TUTOR REINY! VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!
