Before anyone makes a presentation (which is just a vehicle for conveying information), you need to research and plan the information you intend to include.
So start with a thesis statement and an outline of what you intend to prove by the end of your presentation, just as if you were doing an essay or report.
Once you've written and revised and streamlined your thesis statement -- http://blog.eduify.com/index.php/2009/06/21/5-tips-on-how-to-write-a-strong-thesis-statement/ -- and you have a good detailed outline that will develop that idea (thesis statement = main idea), then you're ready to start making the PowerPoint.

I am working for a company whom makes skateboards. My CEO is now interested in exporting these to australia. I need to make a powerpoint presentation to present to educate the directors in the matters of foreign investment and international investment theory. I need to make recommendations on whether or not it is a good idea to export these!! What steps should I take to get this info? And can you help me understand these?
I know I have to do a powerpoint and at the end state if I think they should do it or not. But what do I have to do before that.
