I am trying to built a cross section of a beam. I need a strong light wood, that would give the best efficiency. A force of 1500lb is going to be applied on it. So i have to make sure it wont break. What is the best choice of wood beam, and also what kind of beam is better, a W, an I, a T beam?
Please let me know it a very serious matter.
