Try substituting (2, 2) into both equations to check if they hold.
It is possible for a system of equations to have no solution.
I am to solve this system of equations x+3y=8
x=4-3y
I got (2,2), but I am not sure if this is righ, can you help me?

I am gathering there is no solution because in the second equation it would not be 2 it would be -2...am I right?
Yes.
You can rearrange the equations to get
x + 3y = 8
x + 3y = 4
In that form, there is obviously no solution.
