Multiply
(-4n)^2(3n^4)^2

In multiplication, I am supposed to add the square roots
So far I got (16n)(3n^4)^2
I don't know what to do from here

I don't see any square roots in your question.

(-4n)^2 *(3n^4)^2 = 16n^2 * 9 n^8 = 144 n^10
