I am having tuble with this problem:

Graph the line given by the formula y=2x+3. Using the graph, find:
The value of y corresponding to the value of x equal to −1; 2; 3; 5

I don't really know how to find the answer can you guys give me the answer and explain how you got it

Thanks so much

I also have another question:

Write the equation of the line parallel to the given line and passing through the given point.

y=6 through (3,4)

this is what i did and i got it wrong

4=24+b
-20=b
y=6+(-20)

i did the same way of solving for this problem
y=x+5 through (8,1)
1=8+b
b=-7
y=x+(-7)
and it's correct
sory typo in top
this is what i did and i got it wrong
y=2x+3.
y(-1) = 2(-1)+2 = -2+3 = 1
y(1) = 2(1)+3 = 2+3 = 5
and so on

The line y=6 is a horizontal line.
A horizontal line through (3,4) is y=4
