I am doing a research paper on 19th Century European nationalism. During my research, I came upon a famous Italian nationalist by the name of Mazzini. I read some of his writings and I was led to the realization that he believes in the sharing of languages, customs, historical traditions among other things.

However, he did define his ideal nation but I was not able to really fully understand his ideology. Do you, by any chance, know's what Mazzini's ideal nation is?

Apparently Mazzini's ideal nation was a republic with wise leaders who took care of the ordinary people. Check these sites for more details.
