I am doing a extra credit project for social studies. Does anyone have any ideas for the project for the preamble of the u.s. constitution. I need to be able to do it in 1 week
Let's look at the Preamble --
"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."
You could draw a poster illustrating each phrase of the preamble and leading to the Constitution.
For instance, you could start with "We the People" and a picture of people. An arrow could point to "establish justice" and a picture of the scales of justice. Then -- an arrow pointing to "domestic tranquility" -- perhaps with a dove of peace picture.
If this idea appeals to you, I'm sure you can finish it.
