I am confused with this question.
A breakfast chef uses three different amounts of milk when making pancakes, depending on the number of pancakes ordered. The dot plot shows Customer's orders for pancakes one morning. How much milk does the chef need to make all the pancakes?
1/4 has 2 dots, 1/2 has 4 dots and 3/4 has 2 dots.
As I know 1/4*2=1/2 cup and 1/2*4=2 cups
Now I don't get why are the 2 dots for 3/4? Should it be 6 dots for 3/4. I don't understand this at all.
Please help. Thank you!

There are 30 orders of pancakes at a restaurant. 2/5of the orders are chocolate chip pancakes. The rest are birthday cake pancakes. How many orders of birthday cake pancakes are there?
Clue word is "of"
2/5 of 30 is the same as 2/5 x 30
2/5 x 30/1 = 60/5
60 divided by 5 = 12
If 2/5 of 30 = 12 chocolate chip....
30-12=18 so 18 birthday cake pancakes were ordered.
to check ask what is 3/5 of 30?
3/5x30/1=90/5 = 18
