I am a bit confused. I have to find the volume of a triangular prism.
B=1/2bh=1/2 (8x3)=12ft
Now I have to find the volume how would I do this with the numbers provided

well, you have to know what h is, right?
sorry. You have the area of the triangular base.
Now you need the length (or height) of the prism.
V = Bh
here, "h" is the height of the prism perpendicular to the base, not the height of the triangular base.
The volume of prisms is always Bh.

Hello Steve.
The Base is 8ft
The Height is 3ft
They are saying in the math problem to find the volume though

Hello Steve.
The second part shows this in my math page:
V=BH= ____ x ______ft_____= ft
I guess I am not sure what to put in the spaces?
I thought Volume of a triangular prism was
V=1/2 b x h x l?

Steve I know that I have to take 12ft x height for the volume
you are correct that
V=1/2 b x h x l
Unfortunately, you have not given a value for l
V=1/2 b x h x l
Unfortunately, you have not given a value for l
