How would you simplify this polar equation to r=?

2=rcos(theta-20)

Would i divide the 2 by both sides?

7 answers

yes.
Then how would i bring the r out?
Multiply R by both sides so that u have r equals the rest of the equation
r=2/cos(theta-20) -the equation of a line
why wouldnt it be cos(theta-20)/2?
We divide both sides by cos(theta-20)
ohhhh wooow why didn't i think of it that way haha thanks!
