How would you prepare 2.5 L of a 0.05 M solution of iron (III) chloride using iron (III) chloride hexahydrate?

Would you use the eqn,
Cinit x Vinit = Cfinal x Vfinal

So I have Cfinal and Vfinal... now what?

from 2.5 L of 0.05 M, how many of moles iron (III) chloride hexahydrate do you need?

Moles = volume x conc

then using number of moles

mass required = number of moles x (RMM of iron (III) chloride hexahydrate)

Then you dissolve this mass in water and make the volume up to 2.5 L.

What does the RMM mean?

Relative Molecular Mass
