How would you do this problem? /:
1. Calculate the density of a material that has a mass of 52.497grams and a volume of 18.5cm^3?

Close but I obtained a slightly different answer.
density = mass/volume = 52.497/18.5 = 2.83768 and from your post you are allowed only three significant figures (assuming you wrote all of the zeros in the problem) so I would round the answer to 2.84.
