How would I set up an equation to solve for three consecutive odd numbers that have a sum of 9

the equation would be
x + (x + 1) + (x + 2) = 9

3x + 3 = 9
3x = 6
x = 2

so the numbers are 2, 3, and 4

if it has to be only odd numbers then you would do it like:
x + (x + 2) + (x + 4) = 9

3x + 6 = 9
3x = 3
x = 1

and the numbers would be 1, 3, and 5
