How will you utilize research techniques in the future?

Here is a link to one of the best search-tools websites online, IMHO:
http://www.sou.edu/library/searchtools/
You can learn how to search and how to evaluate what's good and what's junk (column at the bottom left) and where to search (across the top and at the bottom right). If you just dive into the first search engine that comes to mind, you're missing out on huge amounts of information. Take advantage of what the librarians at this university have put together.

And don't discount your local college or public library's real live reference librarians. Those people are trained to practically work magic! They know how to research in books, in reference works, in microfilm (as long as it lasts), and online -- especially in the huge reference and research databases that most libraries subscribe to these days. Here's an example from just one library in California:
(Broken Link Removed)
This library subscribes to 9 different research databases AND is tied into its county library system.

I believe that both the Internet and actual libraries will continue to be used. Right now and in the future, I think students at colleges like the one linked above have the best of both worlds.
