how weathering releases phospahte from rock?

i really don't know, any sites i could go on to to get the answer? no wikipedia, or hard ones. english aint my language so hard words i wont be able to understand.

Phosphates are chemical compounds containing the PO4(---) ion. Weathering can dissolve them from rock or release the compound as a solid product of disintegration of crumbling of the rock. This may ultimately contaminate water supplies and lead to algae blooms and eutrification of lakes.
