How to Write a Thesis Statement

A thesis statement is one sentence that expresses the main idea of a research paper or essay, such as an expository essay or argumentative essay.
A thesis statement clearly identifies the topic being discussed, includes the points discussed in the paper, and is written for a specific audience. Your thesis statement belongs at the end of your first paragraph, also known as your introduction. Use it to generate interest in your topic and encourage your audience to continue reading.
Another option is to think of a thesis statement as one complete sentence that expresses your position.
Narrows the topic down to a specific focus of an investigation.
Establishes a direction for the entire paper.
Points forward to the conclusion.
Always stated in your introduction. (Usually at the end of the first paragraph).
Always take a stand and justify further discussion.
The thesis statement should include your topic and the three points you’re writing about. (Which would be the three body paragraphs.)

Informative Essay examples:
*To make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, you must procure the ingredients, find a knife, and spread the condiments.
This thesis showed the reader the topic (a type of sandwich) and the direction the essay will take (describing how the sandwich is made).
*The lifestyles of barn owls include hunting for insects and animals, building nests, and raising their young.
This thesis is informative because it establishes that the paper will provide information on the lifestyles of barn owls.
Now write a Thesis Statement but make it look like a 6th grader did it and put it in your own words so I dont get in trouble for plagiarism
