How should I start my reaction essay off? I looked up examples online and most sources say to state the title and the author but I'm not sure how to "form" the first paragraph.

This is what I have so far..

After reading the article Survivors, I felt horrified, disgusted and heart-broken.

That's a good start, but include the author's name. Explain briefly what brought on those reactions.
