How much work does a 64 kg person do against gravity in walking up a trail that gains 760 m in elevation?
2 answers
Conservation of mechanical energy: work=potential energy gained= mgh
The question is kind of oddly worded. If the question is how much work is done by a person 64kg traveling 760m up an elevation, than 64kg*9.8*760m is the answer. In this case mgh=f*d.
