You need the area of a rectangle. First, get the measurement in yards.
13 ft. = 4.33 yd.
18 ft. = 6 yd.
A = L * W
A = 4.33 * 6
A = 25.98 = 26 yards
26 * 14.5 = $377.00
How much will it cost to carpet a 13 ft by 18 ft room if carpeting costs $14.50 per square yard?
I know you either find the perimeter or the area. and when I figure both of them I get
P=2(13+18)
P=62
62*14.50= 899
or
A=13*18
A=234
234*14.50
3393
But I don't know which one it is can anyone help?
