How Many pounds of acid per inch?

If you have a tank of 51ft long by 4ft 7in wide, and need to fill it to the two inch mark with hydrochloric acid, how many pounds are you putting in it? (Hint 1 gallon of acid weights 9.8 lbs. Nancy 2:28

First calculate the volume of acid in cubic feet:
51 x (4 7/12)x (2/12) = 38.96 ft^3

Now multiply by the number of gallons per cubic foot, which is 7.48. That gives you 291.4 gallons.

Now multiply that by the density, for the total mass of acid.
thanks, after multipling i got 2855.72 lbs would that be correct..
