How many grams of oxygen can be produced from the decomposition of 100g of KClO3?

4 answers

and can you please explain the process resulting with the answer (ie. formulas ect.) thank you.
how many moles of KClO3 do you have in 100 g.

2) balance the equation:

2KClO3>>2K + Cl2 + 3O2
so for every two moles of potassium chlorate, you get three moles of O2

3) take the moles of KClO3, multiply it by 3/2. That is the moles of KClO3. Convert it to grams.
thx
